Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 11, 2026 · BulkLift Technologies Inc., Windsor, Ontario, Canada

BulkLift Technologies Inc. (“BulkLift”) respects your privacy and handles personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario law. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and your rights.

1. Information we collect

From customers: name, mobile phone number, email (if you provide it), pickup and drop-off addresses, item description and declared value, and booking history. Payment is processed by Stripe; we receive a payment confirmation and do not store full card numbers.

From drivers:name, phone, residential address, vehicle details, licensing/insurance verification status, approximate live location while on an active delivery, and a tax identifier — Social Insurance Number (SIN) for sole proprietors or Business Number (BN) for incorporated drivers. As a digital platform operator we are legally required to collect and verify this information and to report driver (“seller”) identification and activity data to the Canada Revenue Agency each year under Part XX of the Income Tax Act (Reporting Rules for Digital Platform Operators).

Automatically: limited technical and usage data and error diagnostics necessary to operate and secure the service.

2. How we use information

To provide and dispatch deliveries; calculate quotes and process payments; enable live tracking and delivery verification; communicate booking and status updates by SMS; investigate damage claims and ensure safety; meet legal and tax obligations (including CRA reporting); and detect and prevent fraud or misuse. We use information only for the purposes for which it was collected or as permitted by law.

3. Consent

By using the platform you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described here. You may withdraw consent subject to legal and contractual limits, though doing so may prevent us from providing the service.

4. Service providers and disclosure

We share personal information with service providers who process it on our behalf, only as needed:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Twilio — SMS and telephony
  • Supabase — database and authentication (Canadian region)
  • Vercel — application hosting
  • Google Maps — address lookup and routing
  • Sentry — error monitoring

Some providers may process data outside Canada (e.g., the United States), where it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. We otherwise do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect rights and safety.

5. Location data

Driver location is used only to enable dispatch and live delivery tracking for the relevant booking, and is not used to track drivers outside of active delivery activity.

6. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described, to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and to resolve disputes and enforce agreements, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

7. Safeguards

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including access controls, database row-level security, encryption in transit, and restricted handling of tax-identifier data.

8. Data breaches

If a breach of security safeguards involving your personal information creates a real risk of significant harm, we will report it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and notify affected individuals as required by PIPEDA, and we maintain records of breaches as the law requires.

9. Your rights

Subject to PIPEDA, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccuracies, and ask questions about our handling of it. You may also withdraw consent, subject to legal and contractual limits, and request destruction of information collected with your consent subject to our retention obligations. Contact us at the address below and we will respond within the timeframes required by law.

10. Children

The platform is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

11. Changes

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date reflects the latest version. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
